Is North worth an upgrade to 4♠?
♣Q led, what's your plan? More below...
Say you win in hand and play ♠K and it holds while RHO throws a heart. Now what?
At first glance, it seemed to me that a three-card limit raise is a three-card limit raise and that I ought to go through with my original plan. It seems to me that opener will often bid 4S with a 6th spade or 14 points -- bidding 3S is not the end of the auction. A little simulation suggests it is closer than I expected, but that 3S is barely enough.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious what your agreements are about double of 3H from either side. And, would they change if the overcall had been 3m?
