A common bidding problem

Sorry for the light posting this week.

Your call. What's your plan after a 1♠ response? What about 1? Anyone have a sense for the chances of each?

A followup below the fold...

Opponents passing, say the auction goes:

1♣ - 1♠; 1NT - 3♠ (good suit, slammish). Now what?

  1. My choice would be to open 1D and rebid 2C.

On the given auction, I guess I choose to cue-bid 4D. If partner can take charge, great. If not, I think I drive to slam anyway -- I've got a trick more than I've shown.
